Salwa Faour is an Arabic calligrapher and multi-disciplinary designer dedicated to preserving and reimagining the rich heritage of Arabic calligraphy. Born in Beirut, she discovered her passion for Arabic calligraphy while studying Graphic Design at the American University of Beirut. Under the guidance of master calligraphers across the Middle East, Salwa honed her craft before expanding her expertise into product and interior design in Dubai.

Her work spans traditional and modern calligraphy, typography, lettering art, and cross-disciplinary design. Today, she runs a creative hub in the UAE where Arabic script is seamlessly integrated into contemporary design. Salwa’s practice bridges cultural heritage and modern aesthetics, infusing everyday objects with meaning and spiritual resonance.

At the core of her work is a deep commitment to Arabic calligraphy as a medium for cultural expression. Through her designs, she serves as an ambassador of her heritage, preserving the authentic essence of Arabic script while presenting it with a modern sensibility.
